Hi Sanjay! I spent some time digging into this earlier this week and I haven't found any event-based functionality that you could use in this scenario. Any of the ideas that I had around search wouldn't really be at all useful for this situation. I would recommend recommend posting in the Guide product feedback forum, using the template at the top of that forum.
I'd like the History Filter by Event Type to include the options Managed By and Visible To. I want to be able to see when the management / visibility permissions changed, especially since these types of events/changes affect the Updated date that shows on the end user pages.
Hey Peter Frutchey,
We maintain article history in perpetuity. So there's no time limit on the storage of this information.
is there any delay between what's displayed in the history and on the actual article? One of our articles was updated 12hrs ago according to the article itself on the page, but the history doesn't show anything.
Thanks in advance!
Hi! Any API endpoint to pull the same data as the history view?
Hello Zendesk Team!
Are there any timeline limits for article history within Guide? For example if the change / article version is 24 months old is it still accessible? We are required to maintain the historical record of articles for auditing purposes. Thanks in advance.
I have tested it on several articles and modifying different parts of the article. The history is updated real time. If you are still experiencing this issue, please take note of the article that has this behavior and contact us directly so that we check further.
Am I right in thinking there's no record of an Approved event? Or does "Ready for publishing" only ever appear in the history after approval (and in no other circumstances)? Seems unlikely, feel like I'm missing something.
Thank you for reaching out to Zendesk Support.
In regards to your concern, as per our developer's documentation regarding Guide: https://developer.zendesk.com/api-reference/help_center/help-center-api/articles/ we currently don't have any API endpoint for viewing the article events in History view. Looking at the document, the nearest would be edited_at but it will only show the time the article was last edited in its displayed locale.

Hi Zendesk Team,
I'm looking for events to trigger on any changes in articles of Zendesk. I tried integrating events with Zendesk and AWS but only got details related to Tickets and Chats nothing related to articles. On any changes related to articles in Zendesk, I need to get an event triggered. Based on that event i have to trigger a lambda function in AWS.
Can you please suggest any possibilities to get the same?
