If you have localized content for your help center, you can manage translations for categories and sections by flagging them as outdated, setting the source language, or deleting translations as needed.
The article contains the following sections:
Marking a translation for a category or section as out of date
You can flag a translation for a category or section title as outdated, meaning it needs to be updated.
- Navigate to the translated section you want to set, then click Edit in the top menu bar.
- Select the language of the translation from the drop-down, if you are not already viewing it.
- Click the Outdated checkbox.
You cannot set the source language as out of date.
- Click Update translation.
Setting a category or section translation as the source language
When you have translations, you need to set one as the source language. The translation you set as the source cannot be removed.
- Navigate to the translated category or section you want to set, then click Edit in the top menu bar.
- Select the language of the translation from the drop-down.
- Click the options menu, then select Make this the source
language.
- Click Update.
Deleting a translation for a category or section
You can delete a translation for a category or section if needed.
- Navigate to the translated section you want to delete, then click Edit in the top menu bar.
- Select the language of the translation from the drop-down, if you are not already viewing it.
- Click the options menu, then select Delete this
translation.
If you are trying to delete a category or section that is currently the source language for the item, you must first change the source language.
- Click OK to confirm that you want to delete the translation.
- Click Update.

Translated categories and sections to not display in the sidebar in Category and section pages. Also, when clicked, the URLs navigate to the English site instead of the translated site.
Does anyone know what's causing this?

Hi Bri!
I figured it out. We do have a custom theme so I had to edit the script.js file to load categories based on the browser window. Turned out to be pretty simple, once I figured it out.

Hi!
Would it be possible to translate an article using as source languages other articles placed in other categories/sections? E.g.: translate an article in a category A/section A using as source language an article placed in a category B/section B.
Is there any way to create a "relationship" to connect them?

Hello!
These features would be really helpful for the purpose of localization:
- Ability to delete all translations from a section in bulk (instead of one-by-one)
- Ability to download all categories & sections in EN-US into one source file
- Ability to upload localized files with all categories and sections in bulk
