How do agents sign in to the mobile Chat app?

Answer

How you sign in depends on how you created your Chat account and how it integrates with Support. There are four Chat account types:

  • Legacy Zendesk Chat, a Phase 1 chat-only version created on zopim.com
  • Legacy Zendesk Chat + Support, an integrated Chat and Support account created on zopim.com
  • Zendesk Chat Phase 3, an integrated account for Zendesk Support customers who created chat from within Support
  • Zendesk Chat Phase 4, Chat-only or Chat + Support

If you have a Phase 1 standalone account, even if it integrates with Support, log in to the app with your Chat credentials.

For integrated accounts and Phase 4 accounts, tap the second button shown below. The Support mobile app opens so you can access Chat on your device.
