The Zendesk Chat mobile app allows you to view and search previous chats, share chat details and transcripts with other agents, mark unread and delete chat transcripts.

iOS: Working with chat history
On your iPhone or iPad, you can:
- View and search your chat history
- Share chat transcripts and details
- Mark a chat as unread
- Delete chat transcripts
To view and search your chat history on an iOS device
- Open the Zendesk Chat mobile app.
- In the bottom toolbar, tap the History icon in the Tab Bar
() . Your recent chats are
displayed on the History screen.
From this screen, you can:
- Open a chat transcript: Tap the chat entry to view the history of that chat.
- Launch a chat search: Tap the Search icon in the top-right corner to enter search terms.
To share a chat on an iOS device
- On the chat History screen, tap the chat you want to share. This launches the chat transcript.
- In the top-right corner of the transcript, tap the Overflow icon (…).
- Select one of the following options:
- Email chat details, which allows you to send details to other agents.
- Email chat transcript, which allows you to send a link to the complete transcript of a chat to other agents.
To mark a chat as unread
- On the chat History screen, tap the chat you want to share. This launches the chat transcript.
- In the top-right corner of the transcript, tap the Open properties icon (…).
- Tap Mark as unread.
To delete a chat on an iOS device
- On the chat History screen, tap the chat you want to share. This launches the chat transcript.
- In the top-right corner of the transcript, tap the Overflow icon (…).
- Tap Delete transcript, then confirm your selection. You cannot undo this action.
Android: Working with chat history
On your Android device, you can:
- View and search your chat history
- Share chat transcripts and details
- Mark a chat as unread
- Delete chat transcripts
To view your chat history on an Android device
- Open the Zendesk Chat mobile app.
- Tap the Hamburger menu (=), then tap History. Your chats
are displayed on the History screen.From this screen, you can:
- Open a chat transcript: Tap the chat entry to view the history of that chat.
- Launch a chat search: Tap the Search icon in the top-right corner to enter search terms.
To share a chat on an Android device
- On the chat History screen, tap the chat you want to share. This launches the chat transcript.
- In the top-right corner of the transcript, tap the Overflow icon (…).
- Select one of the following options:
- >Email chat details, which allows you to send details to other agents (such as chat and visitor IDs, timestamp, chat duration). Chat details are added to a CSV file, and a link to that file is included in the email generated.
- Email chat transcript, which allows you to send a link to the complete transcript of a chat to other agents.
To mark a chat as unread
- On the chat History screen, tap the chat you want to share. This launches the chat transcript.
- In the top-right corner of the transcript, tap the Open properties icon (…).
- Tap Mark as unread.
To delete a chat on an Android device
- On the chat History screen, tap the chat you want to share. This launches the chat transcript.
- In the top-right corner of the transcript, tap the Open properties icon (…).
- Tap Delete transcript, then confirm your selection. You cannot undo this action.
