Can I restrict access to articles, categories or sections in my help center?
Answer
Yes. It is possible to restrict access to specific articles, categories or sections. Article settings and more specifically Viewing permissions control the access to categories and sections above.
Open the article editor page, then go to Article settings > Placement. Under Viewing permissions, select Visible to everyone or Only visible to the selected user segments, then choose who can see the article:
- Signed-in users
- Agents and admins
- Up to 10 custom user segments
You can also control access in these following ways:
- To restrict content to a specific group of end users, create user segments and apply them to each article. To create internal articles for your agents and admins, apply the Agents and admins visibility to your articles.
- To restrict an entire section or category at once, restrict all the articles in that section in bulk.
