Hi 7012346227866 . We're having the same issue. Another workaround to make a dashboard update — to switch between different tabs and after that the “publish” button appears.

When I make changes within a report in a dashboard, certain things do not update automatically. For example, if I change the name of a report or add a metric or attribute, the report does not update automatically within the dashboard. The only way I can make this happen is by removing the report from the dashboard and re-adding it to the dashboard. Do you know if I'm doing something wrong here?

Hi Walter,

I have to schedule out the dashboard for delivery, a function currently not available. I do not want to duplicate my work but no date has been provided.  Is it this month, November or December.  Since is it q4 already is there no better date range available?

Hi Tina,
thanks for your interest in the new dashboard builder.

I recommend you create your dashboard using the new experience, as the GA is planned for Q4.

Walter

Are you any closer to announcing a date for GA?  I need to create some new dashboards for delivery and now need to do them through the old dashboard builder due to the functionality not being available as of yet.  Which means I will need to replicate my work because the GA date is not available  and not sure I can wait.  Will it be happening within the next couple of months, maybe?????  Why can't a release date be given?

Thanks Walter but that doesn't really address my point. We can apply a filter and set it as the default view, but what's to stop people changing those filters? This was possible with the old setup but this functionality doesn't exist in the new builder.

HI 5409547997338 ,
thanks for sharing your feedback about the beta dashboard builder.

While filters can't be hidden, the beta dashboard builder allows you to exclude filters from reports and set some default filter values using filtered views.

Walter

Dashboard Restrictions don't allow us to have reports with mixed attributes on the same dashboard. For instance, if we have one report based on Assignee Name and another based on Updater Name, both from the Update History dataset, the Data Restrictions would apply to both reports and therefore warp the data in both.

Filtering, excluding reports from filters and then hiding those filters was how we would get around this in the previous dashboard builder, but that doesn't seem possible.

What are the plans to recreate this functionality? Seems a big step back.

Hi 5935813700634 ,
thanks for sharing your feedback about duplicating tabs.

If you want to duplicate the tab and look at the same data with different time granularity, in the future it will be possible to do it by using the “Change Attribute” component.

As you can see in this article, the “Change attribute” is currently planned as a post-GA item.

Here you can find a community post where a customer demonstrates how to use it for a similar use case to yours.

Regards,
Walter
