Zendesk is excited to announce that you can now subscribe webhooks to ticket and messaging events.
This announcement includes the following topics:
What is changing?
Until now, the only way to pass ticket and messaging events to webhooks was through triggers and automations or using the APIs. Now, webhooks can be subscribed directly to ticket and messaging events rather than relying on triggers and automations.
For more information about the ticket and messaging events, see Webhook event types.
Why is Zendesk making this change?
This feature significantly simplifies the process of connecting webhooks to ticket and messaging events and increases webhook functionality overall. Additionally, it replaces the functionality of the Events Connector for AWS EventBridge, which is soon to be removed.
What do I need to do?
This feature is being rolled out to all plans. To begin using this feature, you can create new webhooks or edit existing webhooks to subscribe them to ticket and messaging events. For more information about the supported events, see Webhook event types.
