Zendesk is excited to announce that a changes to custom object records are now captured in an event log in Agent Workspace.

What is changing?

Custom object records contain a lot of important custom data. Previously, it was difficult to identify when and how changes to a record were made. Now, each record includes an Events tab, which displays a log of all updates to the record made by users and triggers after May 20, 2025. Events include field values that are added, removed, or changed.

Note: Record events that occurred prior to May 20, 2025 aren't visible on the Events tab.

Why is Zendesk making this change?

Zendesk heard from customers that more visibility into record changes was essential. This feature is designed to help admins understand what changes were made to custom object records, when the changes occurred, and by whom.

What do I need to do?

You don't need to do anything. Record changes will begin appearing after May 20, 2025 for all accounts using custom objects.
