Help - How can I Batch Change Ticket Status

I would like to know how to batch change tickets' from ‘Pending’ to ‘New’, or ‘Solved’. 

Having sent out a series of tickets as ‘Pending’ when I should have selected ‘New’ I now have a whole lot of ‘Pending’ tickets unnecessarily and would like to update them in one go. 

Help!

You can do this in a view or through the API.

Create an automation that can change them from pending to open. Just make sure the conditions match and time frame only for the hour set to pending so that you only change the tickets you accidentally set to pending.

 

Another option is bulk updating form within a view inside lovely views where you can do 200 at a time instead of the 30 in a regular view.

Can you please decribe the problem a little more detailed? I really would like to understand if it is a problem of transparence, of a bulk change or if you would like to get a hint for automation (trigger or API) in order to amend them in a batch as mentioned.

Hi there,

 

If you are doing it from the Support side, then I agree with Stacey.

 

I would create a View that shows all those ticket in PENDING you want to change.

 

Then select all (checkbox top of the list of tickets).

 

Select edit (bottom of list of tickets)

 

You'll get a pop up. Then change status like you would normally. Select the arrow and change to OPEN or SOLVED.

 

You won't be able to change back to NEW. Once its moved from NEW, you can;t change back. *maybe by the API… but i've never tried that).
