Setting user email for mobile messaging

We are trying to user Zendesk Messaging (Android sdk) and we wish to set the user's email using code(instead of having the user manually type his email) and we cannot find a way to do it. Is there a way to do it? If not, what do you suggest we do?

Hi DK,

With the introduction of end user authentication in messaging, you can now send your customer unique identifier, along with the name and/or email in the JWT payload. Unfortunately, we're still working to surface the name and email in Agent Workspace for the agent, but this will be improved in an upcoming Agent Workspace release. You won't need to make any further change in the Zendesk SDK implementation.

At this time, the user's email address can only be set when they manually supply it.  We are currently working to add end-user authentication for Messaging, which would allow you to supply the user's email address via JWT.  We expect this feature to be available in January 2022.
