We're excited to announce that you can now delete AI agents directly from the AI agents - Advanced add-on, giving you more control and reducing the need to contact Zendesk customer support.

What’s changing?

In AI agents - Advanced, client admins can now delete AI agents that you no longer need. Key features of the deletion workflow include:

  • Self-service deletion for any AI agent you have access to.
  • Built-in safeguards: If an AI agent is actively used in routing rules, you'll be prompted to remove it from those rules before deletion.
  • Name confirmation: You'll be asked to enter the AI agent's name exactly (case-sensitive) to confirm deletion.

Why is Zendesk making this change?

We're committed to giving admins more autonomy and control over their AI agents. This update eliminates the need to open a support ticket for agent cleanup, enabling faster account management and reducing operational friction.

What do I need to do?

No action is required. This feature is now available to all AI agents - Advanced customers. For more information, see Deleting an AI agent.
