Announced on Rollout starts Rollout ends
April 23, 2026 April 23, 2026 April 28, 2026

Beginning April 23rd, customers will be able to delete system support addresses (such as support@company.zendesk.com) for each Support instance and each brand within a Support instance.

This new feature gives customers more control over the domains from which email is sent and can improve a customer’s security posture.

What's changing?

Zendesk is expanding the ability to delete support addresses to the system support addresses that are default to a Support instance and each brand within that Support instance.

This includes addresses such as support@company.zendesk.com and support@companybrand1.zendesk.com.

Why is Zendesk making this change?

The ability to delete these support addresses gives customers two main benefits:

  • Customers now have more control over Zendesk-created system addresses, allowing them to minimize the usage of Zendesk domains in email. Customers may have requirements around 3rd party (such as Zendesk) email domains sending email for their businesses, and removing these addresses can help businesses adhere to those internal standards.
  • System support addresses can be a common vector for email spam due to the guessable nature of the email address. Removing this can help minimize spam within a Support instance and reduce the risk it poses to customers.

What do I need to do?

No action is required. This option will be available to all customers within the Email Settings page in Admin Center. If you choose to delete these support addresses, see Managing your support addresses to understand how that affects fallback behavior for email sending.

If you delete one of these system support addresses from your instance or brands and want to re-add it, you can add the same support@company.zendesk.com address that was deleted, and it will automatically be identified as a system support address by Support.
