Zendesk is excited to introduce a new currency field type for custom objects.

What is changing?
Custom objects now support a new type of custom field: currency fields. The currency field allows you to accurately store and manage pricing information directly within your services, orders, and contracts.
When admins add currency fields to their custom objects, they can easily track prices and different currencies. Additionally, currency fields can be used in ticket and object triggers to automate ticket and record updates based on currency field values.
Why is Zendesk making this change?
By storing pricing and currency information in custom object records, such as products, orders, and contracts, customers gain enhanced visibility into their financial data, enabling the automation of critical support actions driven by accurate business insights.
What do I need to do?
The new currency field type is being rolled out to all accounts with custom objects. To start using it, admins can add a custom currency field to any custom object. See About custom fields and custom field types and Defining a custom object's schema with custom fields.
