How do I set a temporary password for a user?
Answer
Passwords can be reset within the user profile under Security Settings > Password. If an administrator needs to manually set a password for an agent, the account owner will first need to enable the Allow admins to set passwords setting within the account.
For instructions on how to enable this option, see the article: Setting the password security level.
Once the Allow admins to set passwords feature was enabled on the account, any admin can then manually set a user's password within the user profile under Security Settings > Password > Set.
Important: This feature is only recommended for use if the user can not reset the password themselves. For security purposes, Zendesk recommends turning this feature off after a password has been reset by the user.
