Could you please describe how definitely tracking works? Is it a script, that send to your server some information?

My major interest is to understand how I can implement goal tracking through GTM, using dataLayer values as triggers. As you may know, many sites nowaday user AJAX technology, and we simply may not chenge the source url.

For examle, on uor website you can make a "quick order" in just 2 clicks, and you won't go away from product page - only see 2 pop-ups.

    Hi there Anton,

Thanks for your question. If you want to track an even that doesnt have a page change (ex. single page app), you can use the following Javascript API to send the visitor change:

So what you can do is create a goal with a specific page path that might not exist on your website but you send it via the API on checkout completion.

    Hope that helps,

We have chat accounts for customer service, and marketing just added tidio chat for the sales on our main website. I would think we could add another widget for that main site using Zopim that wouldn't create tickets etc, right?

I knwo9 that chat is going to get support related items though, and they need to be able to push to support...

Is it possible to have a chat account(s) for support and others for lead gen?

  • Ramin Shokrizadeh

    Hi MarkFly,

The most common setup for this scenario is have multiple departments that your agents can transfer chats to. Chats to both departments would create tickets but you can create a Support trigger that auto-closes the Sales tickets based on a tag that is added to the chat.

You can use the Javascript API to set or filter departments out of the department dropdown. You can get more info at

If you need help with this setup, please email

We currently use chat for sales and are planning to add it for our members soon (we are most likely going to use departments for this).  We are interested in using Goals, but, only for sales.  I don't see a way to limit the goals in the config by anything other than URL and time period for association form the screenshot.  Is there a way I can measure goals only for my sales chats?

  • Ramin Shokrizadeh

    Hi Lila,

You can filter the analytics information by department, so you can only see the chats and conversions associated with that department.

You can do the same for chat exports in the History tab.

    Awesome, thank you Ramin!
