Question

I want to export ticket data from my account, but I can't find the option in Admin Center. Where can I find the data export option?

Answer

In Admin Center, click Account in the sidebar, then select Tools > Reports. If you don't see this option and data exports are enabled in your account, you may be restricted from exporting data. See the article: Restricting data exports to certain admins.

To see if you have access to the reports option, click this button to select your subdomain and open your reports page (sign-in required).

If you don't have access to this feature, you'll see a screen that says Nothing to see here.

The option to export tickets only appears after the account owner has contacted Zendesk Customer Support to enable data exports in the account.

If you are an admin but unable to see this option even after requesting to enable it, have the owner of your account check if there are any restrictions under the Approved email domain field. For more information, see the article: Restricting or deactivating account data exports.

For complete instructions on how to request a data export, follow the instructions in this article: Exporting ticket, user, or organization data from your account.

Note: The ability to export data to a JSON, CSV, or XML file is limited to admins on the account and custom agent roles with export permissions. If you do not have the ability to export ticket data, contact your Zendesk administrator.
Tip: If you want to export a specific set of data, create and export a report in Explore.
