What's the best way to test changes to the email template before it is sent to customers?
Answer
Zendesk email templates are live on the account. Any changes that you make are immediately reflected in email notifications. It is not possible to test the email template prior to saving it. However, if your pricing plan allows it, make and test changes in a sandbox environment.
Alternatively, immediately after changing the email template, create a test ticket with a personal email to see the new changes and tweak the template as needed.
Note: Customers on the Suite Growth plans and above can request a time-limited sandbox trial of Support, a higher Suite plan, or other add-ons. I am not able to send emails out on my sandbox... When I send an email from my sandbox to my personal email the email does not come in.
