When you open a new Zendesk owner account, it's important to verify your email address. By verifying the account owner email address, you help to maintain account security and keep your account active. With a verified account you can:
  • Create more than five tickets
  • Purchase or upgrade your subscription

Verifying the email address

Use the verification message sent from Zendesk to verify the account owner email address. The verification link is valid for 24 hours. If you can't locate your original email verification message, you can resend the verification email.

To verify your owner account email address:
  1. Locate the verification email message sent from Zendesk when you first established your account.

    You should find this message in the email inbox you used to sign up for your Zendesk trial. The subject typically starts with "Welcome to Zendesk support..." See example below.

  2. Follow the instructions in the email and click the email verification link.

Using email verification for a secondary email address

In some cases you may want to include an additonal, secondary email address to your profile. See Adding and verifying an additional email address. Any email address you add must be verified and you'll receive a verification message when it's added.
