Verifying the email address
Use the verification message sent from Zendesk to verify the account owner email address. The verification link is valid for 24 hours. If you can't locate your original email verification message, you can resend the verification email.
- Locate the verification email message sent from Zendesk
when you first established your account.
You should find this message in the email inbox you used to sign up for your Zendesk trial. The subject typically starts with "Welcome to Zendesk support..." See example below.
- Follow the instructions in the email and click the email verification link.
Using email verification with SSO
In some cases you may want to include an additonal, secondary email address to your profile. See Adding and verifying an additional email address. Any email address you add must be verified and you'll receive a verification message when it's added. The exception is when your account is set up to use single-sign on (SSO). In that case, verification of the primary email address is supported but verification of the secondary email address is not. You'll get an error message when you add the secondary email address and try to verify it. To verify a secondary email address on an account that uses SSO, turn off SSO first before adding the additional email address, then turn SSO back on after the secondary email address is verified.
