Depending on your account, there are two ways that you can reset your password in Sell.
- For Zendesk Sell accounts (that is, if your Sell account was created after January 7, 2020, or has been migrated to Zendesk), see Zendesk Sell accounts: resetting a password

Zendesk Sell accounts: resetting a password
If you need to reset your password, you can do this from the Zendesk login page or from Settings > Manage > Profile in Sell. If you are having issues signing in, see resetting your password when you can't sign in.
To reset your own password
- From your Zendesk login page, click the Forgot your password prompt from the login screen. You will receive an email and a link. Click the link and reset your password.Note: If you did not receive an email with a password reset link, see: I am not receiving my password reset email.
- Alternatively on the Sell sidebar, click Settings (), then select Manage > Profile.
- Click Edit Profile.
A new window opens for the Zendesk Admin Center.
- In the Admin Center, click Change password.
- Type your current password, then your new password, and confirm your new password.
- Click Change password.
Your new password is saved. You'll receive an email notifying you that your password was changed.
If you are an account admin, you can reset another user's password from Settings > Manage > Users.
To reset a user's password
- On the Sell sidebar, click Settings (), then select Manage > Users.
- Click the user you want and click Edit Profile.
A new window opens for the Zendesk Admin Center.
- In the Admin Center, click Reset password.
A password reset email is sent to the user as soon as you click Reset password.
Note: If you change your password in the web version of Sell there is a delay before you are required to log in to the Sell Mobile app with the new login information. If you are facing a security concern and need all active sessions expired, contact Zendesk customer support. - The user clicks the password reset link and enters a new password for their account. They are then logged in to their Sell account.
Sell Legacy accounts: resetting your password
If you need to reset your password, you can do this in the Sell password reset form.
To reset your password
- Go to the password reset form, or click Forgot my password from the Sell login page.
- Enter your Sell login email address and click Send me reset password instructions. You'll receive an email within a few minutes containing a link to create a new password.
Check your spam folder if you don't receive the email within that timeframe.
- In the email, click the link to reset your password.
- Enter your new password and repeat the password to confirm it. There are a number of password restrictions. The password:
- Must contain at least 6 characters.
- Cannot solely contain sequences or repeated characters: for example, 12345678, 222222, abcdefg
- Cannot equal adjacent key placement: for example, qwerty.
- Cannot be common phrases: for example, password, password123, changeme, admin, administrator.
- Click Change my password.
You are logged in to your Sell account with the new password.Note: If you change your password in the web version of Sell there is a delay before you are required to log in to the Sell Mobile app with the new login information.
