We are excited to announce a demo game for you to see the Zendesk SDK for Unity in a real-life game and to be able to test your own customer service scenarios through it without writing any code.
This announcement includes the following topics:
- What is the Zendesk SDK for Unity?
- Why did we launch the demo game?
- Where can I access the Unity SDK Demo game?
What is the Zendesk SDK for Unity?
The new Zendesk SDK for Unity, announced last year, is designed to bring the simplicity of the previous SDK (now called the “Classic SDK”) alongside Zendesk’s messaging capabilities to provide a complete Customer Experience solution (CX) to your business.
The new SDK is convenient for you, your players, your developers, and your agents. Here is how:
- As an Admin, you can build automated flows in minutes with our Bot Builder Editor and control how your players are being served using bots and ready-to-use blocks like quick replies and forms.
- Your players can have continuous conversations with agents. They can start, pause, and pick up their support conversations at their leisure.
-
Your development team can install the SDK in minutes as it is native to Unity. There is no compatibility overhead, and your agents have access to customers’ context and previous bot interactions so they can jump straight to helping them. Their time is protected as Zendesk bots can now handle trivial tasks.
Why did we launch the demo game?
The Zendesk Unity demo game (called Match 3) is built to demonstrate the Unity SDK integration with a real Unity game. There is no objective for winning this game.
We want to enable Zendesk customers’ admins and players to experience the Unity SDK in a real scenario without writing any code.
As an admin, you will be able to set up your customer flow in your bot builder editor (with your Zendesk subdomain).
First, you must get the channel ID from the Channel configuration page in the Admin Center, then initiate the SDK in the demo game by entering it in the configuration screen.
For the time being, the EAP version of The Zendesk SDK for Unity only uses the Android Channel in the Channel drop-down to create the channel for both iOS/Android. This will change after GA.
More information on how to play and use the game can be found here.
Where can I access the Unity SDK Demo game?
You can install the demo game in the App Store and Play Store.
