Zendesk is excited to bring you sleek new updates to Admin Center navigation that's all about enhancing your workspace and maximizing efficiency. This new functionality is designed to give you more control over your workspace, allowing you to focus on what matters most.

What is changing?
We're making the following improvements:
Change 1: Accordion menus
Previously, when you used the side navigation in Admin Center to open settings (for example, Account settings), each settings section you clicked remained open. The settings menu expanded further and further resulting in a very long list. Now, when you open a new section, the existing section closes automatically.

Change 2: Collapsable navigation
Side navigation in Admin Center has been reimagined to offer you a choice between a full view and a minimalist, icon-only view. This means you can now easily collapse the navigation bar to free up screen space, focusing more on your work. Hovering and clicking over the icons in the collapsed state reveals what each stands for, ensuring you always have intuitive access to all your tools, without the clutter.
When the panel is closed, you can continue to select settings as needed.

Why is Zendesk making this change?
We've listened to your feedback asking for a more streamlined and less distracting interface. The accordion menus and collapsible side navigation is our answer to that, offering:
- Increased focus: By automatically closing menu sections and minimizing the navigation pane, you can reduce distractions and concentrate more on your work.
- More screen space: Enjoy a larger workspace for your tasks or for multitasking.
What do I need to do?
These changes will be rolled out to your account automatically. We’ll roll out Change 1: Accordion menus first, followed by Change 2: Collapsible navigation a few days later.
To start using accordion menus
- Click the settings section you want to open, then click another section. You’ll see the first section close automatically when you open a new section.
To start using collapsable navigation
- Find the toggle button at the top of the side navigation bar to collapse or expand the menu according to your preference.
- Explore the hover and click functionality to get familiar with icon-based navigation.
