Zendesk is discontinuing our integration with Magento via the Magento 2 Connector for Support, Chat, and Sell on October 30, 2024.
What is changing?
Effective today, the Magento 2 Connector for Support, Chat, and Sell is no longer available for new installations. The app will be discontinued on October 30, 2024. For those who currently have the Magento 2 Connector for Support, Chat, or Sell installed, we recommend uninstalling it prior to this date by following the instructions in this article.
Why is Zendesk making this change?
After careful analysis, Zendesk has decided to discontinue the Magento 2 Connector for Support, Chat, and Sell. The main factors driving this decision are low adoption of these apps and usage rates since inception, which fall short of Zendesk's established standards.
Are any alternatives available?
Fortunately, there are several alternative third-party apps for integrating Magento with Zendesk.

Will my data be impacted?
Rest assured, all historical ticket data will remain intact in your Zendesk account, and your customers' order history will also be preserved safely within Magento.
What do I need to do?
If you have the Magento 2 Connector for Support, Chat, or Sell, we advise proceeding with its uninstallation at your earliest convenience, as it will no longer function on October 30, 2024. Zendesk will also notify you by email if our records indicate you have this app installed. Please refer to these instructions on how to manage and uninstall your installed apps.
