Zendesk Workforce management (WFM) is introducing a new set of options for managing agents' time off requests.
This announcement includes the following topics:
What is changing?
WFM admins can now define rules for their teams that automatically approve agents' time off requests if certain conditions are met. You can set a threshold for when to automatically approve requests based on the number of agents who already have approved time off during the requested time period.
While the rules for automatic approval are set up per team, the limit that's created is checked against time off requests for your entire organization.
Why is Zendesk making this change?
Managing time off requests can take a substantial amount of time. Introducing rule-based automatic approval can help you save time, while ensuring that all requests are still centralized in the same time off management page.
What do I need to do?
You don't need to do anything. A new settings icon will automatically appear in the upper-right of the Time off page. To learn more, see Creating time off auto approval rules.
