Zendesk is pleased to announce enhancements to the data replicated for premium sandboxes.
This announcement includes the following topics:
What is changing?
Apps that meet the following requirements are now automatically replicated when you create new premium sandboxes:
- Free and installed from the Zendesk Marketplace
- Public (not a private app that was created by Zendesk customers or partners)
- No authentication or login required
- No configuration required during installation
- No configuration dependencies, such as triggers, ticket fields, or webhooks
Previously, no apps were replicated when creating a new premium sandbox. Instead, they had to be added manually after the sandbox was created.
Why is Zendesk making this change?
We know setting up sandbox environments takes time and effort. Based on your feedback, we realized the replication of apps was a particular pain point we wanted to solve. Our goal with this release is to simplify and streamline the process for setting up new sandbox environments.
What do I need to do?
This change is being rolled out to all accounts eligible for premium sandboxes. The next time you create a new premium sandbox, your apps will automatically be replicated along with your other data and configurations. See Creating a premium sandbox with data replication.
