In order to ensure the Zendesk iOS SDK for messaging continues to provide an incredible messaging experience for our mobile users, we are focusing our efforts on supporting only devices used by the majority of our users.

Supported iOS for the Zendesk SDK

Currently, the minimum supported iOS release for the Zendesk SDK is iOS 14. If you are running on iOS 13 or below, the latest version of the Zendesk SDK that you will be able to integrate is version 2.32.0.

To access new feature releases, devices using your app will need to be running on iOS 14 or above. See Apple's instructions for updating your iOS.

To find out your iOS version

  • From your Apple device, go to Settings > General > About.

What if my app users' devices don't support iOS 14 or above?

If your users can’t install iOS 14 or above, they will still be able to access messaging in versions of your app they have already downloaded. However, they won't be able to use versions of your app running with an SDK version of 2.33.0 or above. Additionally, we’ll no longer be able to fix any issues reported on Apple devices running iOS 13 or below.
