How to default a value to custom field based on form Id

Is there a way that I can default a value in custom field based on form id? User case is as follows. We have one form for bug requests and another form for enhancements. We want to show the form type in requests page. So, user can identify the request/ticket type from the request list. This will eliminate a step for user to open the ticket/request detail.

    This is definitely achievable by creating a custom script via JS. As this would be a custom implementation targeted to your specific use case and implementation, we do not have any generic code examples in our documentation.
