403 Foridden when making API calls
Posted Mar 07, 2025
We have multiple integrations set up that hit the Zendesk API to search and create tickets. All of sudden one of our servers got blocked by Cloudflare and we're getting 403s all over the place.
Same code works fine running locally from my machine. Any thoughts what could've done this and how we can get unblocked?

We have the same issue with Zendesk API calls since last Friday, March 7 around 4:19 PM CET. The message says: “Sorry, you have been blocked. You are unable to access” and refers to a Cloudflare Ray ID.
What is the cause of this and how can this be solved?

I am getting the same problem. 1 of our servers is getting 403 error and the rest of the servers and my computer is fine. I am assuming we have to contact you to get that specific IP fixed? Who do we contact or how do we get that done?
As of 3:00pm central time the errors went away. I don't know if they fixed something but while I was on the chat with support he was like when was the last time you tried and when I tried while on the chat it worked. He couldn't tell me what happened because I didn't save the timestamp from the last time it failed so it would have been too hard to figure out without that.

Hi all,
Tipene here from the Developer Advocacy team at Zendesk. I’m going to take a look at our logs and see if I can find some more info on the 403s you’re all seeing here.
Could you also let me know if you’re still encountering the issue, and if there are specific endpoints that are returning the 403s?
