Community Manager User Group - March 2025 Meet-up Recap

Thanks everyone for attending today's first virtual meeting of 2025. Great conversations all around!

The bulk of the time we chatted about tips for getting started with using Gather for community building and growth. Some of the key items mentioned were:

1. Adding engagement programs that offer extrinsic rewards
2. Ways to possibly make the community more “sticky”
3. Branding your community to set it apart from other sites
4. Measuring membership, engagement, and growth thereof

One “nice to have” item brought up was the option to suppress email notifications in Gather and instead have an in-app notification for things like new replies or posts to items you are subscribed to.

Next week is Relate, and I will be there so I was happy to suggest I find a product team member from Zendesk about Gather and bring up this suggestion.
