Have a native way (relative URLs) to easily update all incorrect hyperlinks in all articles

Publication le 28 oct. 2021

Hi. Why doesn't Zendesk Architecture Team declare any relative URLs instead of absolute URLs in the code?

Should the structure be changed in 2022?

Our original help center is in French.
We have started implementing the English (US) version of our Help Center recently.

We have read and applied this URL: https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/224857687#trans_content
https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500000265141- Managing -languages-in-Flow-Builder

On the 'English' Help Center, hyperlinks which should refer to some other articles are not translated, even if everything is declared and put English on our side:
language format from Windows settings
. default preference language from Zendesk on my profile
. default preference language on the browsers
. active session in English on Zendesk

These hyperlinks, inside the articles, of the 'English' help center refer to a French article,
not to the existing English article (which exists): this French article has already been translated into English inside the “English” help center.

If Zendesk Architecture Team should declare any relative URLs instead of absolute URLs in the code, it would solve the problem and save time.

A workaround (not very professional) to obtain the correct URLs in a quite quick way is:

. to copy the source code of the French article from Zendesk Help Center inside Notepad++

. from Notepad++:  search and replace '/fr/' by '/en-us/' for the complete links

. from Notepad++:  select the whole new result

. from Notepad++:  copy it

. using Zendesk Help Center:  paste it in the new link for the translated article.

Any other suggestions?  Blocking or similar limitations on your side?

Thanks.
