Zendesk is excited to announce enhanced Explore light agent permissions for Enterprise plans. Previously, light agents on Enterprise plans could only view dashboards. Now, you can give light agents permission to manage reports and dashboards, or remove their access to Explore entirely. This gives organizations greater flexibility when enabling Explore access for light agents while maintaining control over sensitive data.

What's changing, and why?
The following are the updated Explore permission options for light agents on Enterprise plans:
- View dashboards (default): Light agents can view dashboards shared with them.
- Manage reports and dashboards: (New option) Allows light agents to create, edit, and manage queries and dashboards.
- No access: (New option) Light agents can now be set to have no Explore access if needed.
This change gives admins more control over what light agents can do in Explore, beyond the previous limitation.
What do I need to do?
Admins can review light agent roles in Admin Center and choose the appropriate Explore permission based on your organization’s needs. For more information, see Giving users access to Explore.
