    Hi Arpitha,

If you're website is public facing would you be able to provide a link so we can take a look for you?

I'd also recommend taking a look at the following article just to make sure everything is configured correctly within the Widget settings: Using Web Widget to embed customer service in your website

    Keep me posted!

    Hi Arpitha,

I checked out your website and it doesn't look like you copied the correct code snippet over. From your Support account you'll want to navigate to Admin>Channels>Widget>Setup and copy the full code snippet over to your websites Document Head page.

The snippet you're copying should look similar to the following:

<!-- Start of (subdomain) Zendesk Widget script -->
    <script id="ze-snippet" src="https://static.zdassets.com/ekr/snippet.js?key=(key)"> </script>
<!-- End of (subdomain) Zendesk Widget script -->

    Hope this helps!

Does Zendesk support using an SRI integrity check when integrating the chat widget into a page using the script tag in the "head" element of the html?

This would require that the Javascript snippet code at "https://static.zdassets.com/ekr/snippet.js?key=..." remains stable and will not be changing in the future.

Any pointers on the best place to direct this question would be most appreciated!

    Thanks,

    --Mark

    Hi Mark,

I've reached out internally and it looks like we've seen SRI used with Zendesk Chat. However, it's not something we provide support for nor have documentation for setting it up at this point.

Let me know if you have any other questions :)

    Hi

With the web widget configured for Help Center, is there any customization available for the UI controls? i.e. instead of a search input box, could I have a contents/document tree navigation control? I'm also interested in the web widget to allow knowledge article input for certain users - is this possible?

    Thanks

    Hey Keshav,

Any chance you could provide the code you've copy and pasted into your website? Both the API call and the widget code would be super helpful for troubleshooting this.

    Thanks!

Desperately need help. I have tried to remove this widget from our wordpress website. It is no longer showing on our home page but now we are still seeing this widget appear on all of our other pages! I have spent quite a bit of time trying to locate this code but I am not able to see it anywhere.

Is it possible to just disable the widget instead?

Is there a way for me to add widget code directly in the browser (possibly with chrome dev tools) without asking a developer to update our site?

We currently use the widget for chat only and are looking to add the other features (chat, help center, integrated widget, contextual help).  Doing this will require that we switch the brand as well, so a new code snippet is required.  I want to do this as a POC for the new functionality before submitting a formal request to our dev folks, but, also to assess whether contextual help will work for us as is (with the out of the box URL based functionality).

    Hi Lila,

I reached out to our team and it looks like there's no way to apply the widget directly to the web browser using Google Dev tools. If you're on the Enterprise plan you can use your Sandbox account to test changes with the web-widget before posting to your live environment.

You could also try pasting your code snippet into jsfiddle.net HTML pane and see how it looks from there.

Hope this points you in the right direction!

Hi, is your web widget using secured transferred protocol ? As our customers might use the form to communicate personal data information, is there any risk of their PI data breach ?

    Hey Huong-Ly,

The Web-Widget uses CSP which follows Googles CSP Guidelines which I've linked for you.

I also encourage you to take a look at the following documentation regarding our web-widget: Content Security Policy (CSP) support

    Hope this helps!

    Hey Prajesh,

By script tag, do you mean the regular inclusion tag usually provided for web sites?

If so, you got the alternative to create an integration in your Zendesk Instance.

Go to the admin area, find the Channels section, and here choose the Mobile SDK Menu item.

Here you can create some connection credentials, and define other settings.

You can read more on the documentation here
