This article contains the following sections:
Editing a community moderator group
Edit a moderator group if you need to change the name, moderator permissions for the group, or to change the user segment that contains the moderators you want in your group.
Note: You don't need to edit a moderator group if you are adding new moderators, instead just add them to the user segment.
To edit a community moderator group
- In Guide, click the User permissions () icon in the sidebar, then select Community moderators.
You can see any moderator groups that you have already created.
- Click the moderator group that you want to edit.
- Click Edit.
- Change any of the following fields in the moderator group:
- Moderator group name
- Moderator permissions. Check all the actions that the moderator group has permission to take, for example, approving pending content and featuring posts.
- Moderator user segment. Choose the user segment that contains the users that you want to belong to your moderator group.
- Click Update group.
The moderator group is updated.
Deleting a community moderator group
Delete a moderator group if you want to remove a moderator group completely.
To delete a community moderator group
- In Guide, click the User permissions () icon in the sidebar, then select Community moderators.
You can see any moderator groups that you have already created.
- Click the options menu at the end of the moderator group that you want to edit, then select Delete.
- Click Delete group.
Note: If you delete a group, it can't be recovered. You'll need to create a new community moderator group if you change your mind.
The group is removed from the Community moderators view and any moderators that were specified in this group no longer have moderator permissions.
