Adding to the range of ways you can power your automated end-user experiences, we have added API support to the present options step in bot builder.
What is changing and why?
Previously, admins could only configure the present options step manually using static data. With this update, we’ve introduced the ability to dynamically populate the step’s quick replies with up to 10 options sourced via data collected in the API call step. The end user’s selection can then be saved as a variable for use in the flow downstream.
This provides an alternative experience to the image-focused dynamic carousel step. The dynamic present options step provides a more compact list and text based UI for end users to select from.
How will this affect me?
This feature expands the range of end-user experiences you can use to provide more engaging and effective bot experiences.
What do I need to do?
There is no action required on your part. These features are available to all bot builder users. The rollout was completed on May 7, 2024.
