We’re excited to announce the excluded terms  enhancement to AI-generated translations. You can now configure AI translations to exclude case-sensitive specific terms and phrases from translation. This allows you to keep important terms, such as your brand and product names, consistent in their original language across all translations.

This announcement includes the following topics:

What is changing?

You can now add specific terms to an exclusion list for AI-generated translations. For example, if you add your brand names to this list, they will remain consistent and unchanged in every translated article, which helps to maintain your brand integrity across languages.

Why is Zendesk making this change?

This enhancement provides greater control over AI translations by preventing mistranslation or unwanted changes to critical terms such as product names and brands. This change improves the reliability of AI translations to better align with your brand and messaging standards.

What do I need to do?

To use this feature, you must turn on AI-generated translations and meet the pre-requisites for use. To learn more about excluded terms, see Excluding terms from AI-generated translations.
