In this tutorial, you'll learn how to use Zendesk Support to create a view of your tickets based on a checked ticket field.
The workflow includes the steps below:
- Step 1: Add a tag in the settings of your ticket field
- Step 2: Generate ticket data with the checked field
- Step 3: Create your view from that tag
You can add custom fields with a checkbox type to views if they possess a tag. For this reason, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Add a tag in the settings of your ticket field
To edit your custom field:
- Access the edit page of your ticket field
- Under Field option > Tag (optional) enter a tag of your choice, for example tag_field_name
- If a tag name already appears, move to step 2
- If a tag name already appears, move to step 2
- Click Save
- Access the edit page of your ticket form to verify that your field already appears
- If you see the ticket field under Available ticket fields, click
+next to its name > Save
Step 2: Generate ticket data with the checked field
To generate ticket data with that field:
- Create or edit a customer ticket
- Select the ticket field from step 1
- Click Submit as to save your changes
Step 3: Create your view from that tag
To create a view of tickets with that checkbox:
- Create a view
- Under Conditions, click Add condition
- Enter the name of your ticket field, select Is > then Checked or Unchecked
- Below Formatting options and Columns, click Add column > enter the name of your ticket field > select it
- Drag that field to the top of your column list
- Click Save
- In Support, open your views. The view appears on the left.
- If the wrong tickets appear, compare them and adjust your view conditions
