Editing dashboard or queries with multiple people

Hi Zendesk team,

 

I recently used the Zendesk Explore product. The UI is easy to navigate and user friendly. One thing I noticed that when you are editing dashboards or queries by other person, other people can't edit the dashboard or queries (it will lock and need to wait until the other person exits the  editing dashboard). Can this be improved so that if you have multiple tabs on the dashboard and people would be able to collaborate updating the dashboard instead of waiting to complete updating the dashboard or queries.

    Thanks for sharing your feedback and idea about collaborating on the same query or dashboard.

    While we do not plan to allow multiple editors to collaborate on the same dashboard or query, we envision providing better visibility on what another editor has changed in the dashboard and possibly restoring it to a previous version.

    I can't share an ETA yet, I will keep you posted once we gain more confidence on the timeline.

    Thank you, Walter! Could you please let me know why there is no plan to allow multiple editors in the dashboard? If you have any reasons behind (speed loss, security issue), would be great!

    I think having the history view is definitely helpful and useful. I am looking forward to the feature, but still having multiple people to collaborate the dashboard, it helps improving the dashboard with multiple tabs much more faster and efficient.
