Notification when I am added as a ticket follower

Currently, if an agent is added as a follower or cc'd on a ticket from another group, they must navigate to a separate tab within the application to review the update. The only notification they receive is via email, which is inefficient given that hundreds of emails are generated daily for ticket updates. Our agents prefer to review ticket updates directly in the app, not through email notifications.

This can be a problem when issues span multiple departments and agents are not alerted in the app when they have been added as a follower or cc'd
 

 


We would like to see a notification for when an agent is added or cc'd as a follower to a ticket. 

This would allow agents to triage issues that cross multiple departments quickly.

 

When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool? What happened? How often does this problem occur and how does this impact your business? We see this issue daily. I normally have to hunt down agents in slack to alert them of a ticket they have been added to. 

What would be your ideal solution to this problem? How would it work or function? (1-2 sentences)

The ideal solution would be a notification in the agents zendesk dashboard. When an agent is cc'd or added as a follower to a ticket, a red alert pops up next to the corresponding tab.
