We’re launching automatic synchronization for groups between Zendesk and Zendesk QA. Starting May 12, 2026, all groups in Zendesk, except private groups, are automatically available in Zendesk QA.

What is changing?

We now sync groups created in Zendesk to Zendesk QA. 

Until now, groups in Zendesk and Zendesk QA have existed independently, which required manual updates in both places. With this update, groups in Zendesk automatically sync to Zendesk QA and are available there.

Synced Zendesk groups can only be edited or deleted in Zendesk Admin Center. You can still create Zendesk QA-specific groups that exist only in Zendesk QA.

Private ticket groups won’t sync to Zendesk QA at this time. 

You can hide synced groups to prevent them from appearing in Zendesk QA filters and assignments.

Why is Zendesk making this change?

Synchronization between groups in Zendesk and Zendesk QA eliminates the manual work needed to create the same structure in both places.

What do I need to do?

You don’t need to take any action. This change rolls out automatically, and all existing groups in Zendesk, except private groups, sync to Zendesk QA. See Managing groups in Zendesk QA.
