In Zendesk Sell, typical stages of a typical sales pipeline are included in the Stages view of the Deals page (see About sales pipeline stages). There are active stages (Incoming, Qualified, Quote, Closure) and closed stages (Won, Unqualified, Lost). If needed, you can add more active stages to your pipeline.
On the second highest Sell plan, you can create one additional pipeline. On the highest Sell plan, you can create unlimited pipelines (see Working with multiple sales pipelines).
Admin users can add active stages to your pipeline.
To add stages to your pipeline
- Click Settings (
), then select Customize > Sales Pipelines.
- To add an active stage, click Add (+), located between the existing stages where you want to add a new stage.
- Enter the name of the stage and the percentage of win likelihood (both are
required).
- Click Save.
To delete or edit a pipeline stage
- Hover your cursor over the stage name and the edit (
) and delete (
) icons will appear.
To edit the names of the stages (the default stages and the stages you added), go to the Pipelines settings page.
If you want to change the order of the active stages you add, you need to add the stages and name them in the order you want.
When you add pipeline stages, they appear immediately in the Stages view of the Deals tab for all Sell users.

Can I add a stage in front of our first stage? Right now our pipeline starts with Qualified, but we have some iffy qualified deals from the migration that are marked as Qualified but are really TBD's.

Hello Shannon,
You can rename your first stage to match your initial pipeline stage (clicking on a stage box will allow you to edit), and then re-add Qualified as the stage after using the + icon between stages as this article describes.

Another question for this case. If I have a lot of deals in first stage and I want to add a stage before first, how can I do it. If I just rename my actual first stage, so all my deals become with wrong stage!

Hi Ivan,
My company had to make a smartlist of all the deals in the original first stage and save that list so you can easily find and change them to the correct stage. Then you add/change the order of stages. When you go back to the saved smartlist, at the top there should be a button to "Move to Stage" and you can move the original first stage deals to the appropriate one.
Hope this helps!

How can I add a stage after the last stage? My current last stage is closed stages (Won, Unqualified, Lost). I want to add a stage after that for "Shipped" after the product is shipped and invoiced.
That would give us the ability to sort out Deals that are "won" but have not shipped yet.

Hello Dean,
It is not presently possible to add stages beyond the Closed stages (Won, Unqualified, Lost). Stages can only be added to the flow prior.

I don't see an option for "sales pipeline" under the "customize" dropdown in my settings. Am I missing something?

Hi Chelsey! If you aren't an admin in your Zendesk Sell account, the "Sales Pipeline" will not be available for customization. You can reach out to an admin on your team to make changes!

you can upload your list of leads/contacts/deals via CSV. For more information, please have a look at this article.
