Community comment Q&A - Sales CRM (Sell)

Hi Shona! It sounds like you have an external system set up to create contacts for new email addresses. The regular email integration will not do this - if you have your email integrated, it will simply sync emails for existing contacts (not create new ones). If you have an external or third party creating contacts, you might want to first have the API check to see if the email exists, and then only sync the relevant emails. If you are still having an issue and want to go more in-depth with your process, please feel free to reach out to our support team!

CommentUsing Sell smart lists

Hi Alice Hynam ! At this time, the filter for products only includes a “with” or “without" filter option, besides filtering for specific products. We don't have a feature that would allow you to filter in a smart list for only deals with a certain number of products associated. I would certainly recommend sharing more about your workflow and request with our product team in the feedback forum

Community comment Q&A - Sales CRM (Sell)

Hi Shona! I wanted to step in to offer some assistance with your question. There are actually three type of “objects” in Sell: leads, contacts, and deals. You are correct when you say that leads are typically customers that you haven't communicated with - therefore, don't have deals associated with them. However, deals aren't considered “contacts”, they have actual contacts associated with them. A “contact” is a lead who has been qualified. Additionally, a deal cannot be created without an associated contact.

Since deals are about the monetary value and the product that you are selling, all information like phone number, email address, and address would be associated with the contact (not the deal), so all “visits” would be placed on the contact. To be able to associate a visit with a deal - you would add the visit to the person or company contact you are visiting. This should be the “associated contact” on the deal, which you should be able to see in the widget panel of the deal.

I hope this is helpful!

Hi Chelsey! If you aren't an admin in your Zendesk Sell account, the "Sales Pipeline" will not be available for customization. You can reach out to an admin on your team to make changes!

Community comment Q&A - Sales CRM (Sell)

Hi Amy!

When you create a new Sell user, they are automatically added in Support as a "Contributor" as all users need access to the subdomain in general. Contributors can only view tickets which are assigned to groups that the user is a member of. If you would like your Sell users to have zero access to tickets - you can simply make sure that they are all assigned to a group that is separate from groups that tickets are assigned to. See more here: https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/4408894175130-Creating-groups.

Hi Roland Hill! I just wanted to clarify that no, this specific filter isn't available on the mobile Activity Feed.

Hi Mark - Thanks for reaching out! I'm sorry to say that the lead capture form is not editable (except for changing the fields available). That being said, if you have anyone on your team with developer knowledge, they could use our API to create a custom form that would allow you customize fully, or a third party app like Zapier with another form capture tool.

CommentManaging users in Sell
Hi Ben! Any admin in the account can make another admin the topmost manager. This can be done from their user settings in Sell. (See: Managing users in Sell). In their user settings, you'll see the option to make that admin the topmost manager:

Community comment Feedback - Sales CRM (Sell)
Hello Christin and Stephanie! When exporting a contact Smart List, you can add the "First Name" and "Last Name" columns by adding the "Person" field to your Smart List before exporting!

Hi Diana! I see that you were able to post your feedback on the Lead Source functionality on our Product Feedback Forums (Link to Feedback), so thank you for that! At this time, this field moves to the Deal - as you mentioned, so our recommendation is to create a custom field for Contact, and update that information - if you would like to see it there! See: When I convert a lead into a contact, what happens to the source field?
