Designed to make task completion faster and easier, the task player shows the context of the task at the top of the screen and the lead, contact, or deal related to that task all on one page.
Once you have completed or rescheduled a task, you move straight on to the next task, (and the lead, contact, or deal that is related to it). This makes performing routine actions like calling, emailing, texting, or following up on a lead, contact, or deal much more efficient, because the entire context of a given task and lead, contact, or deal is provided in a single area.

Starting the task player
On the Tasks page, use the task player to enable sequential work on tasks that are currently visible in your task list.
To start the task player
- On the Sell sidebar, click Tasks ().
- To filter or search the task page for the tasks that you want to play through, use the Search Tasks field, or click Filter, in the top right corner of the page.
- Click Play tasks.
The Task player starts playing all of the tasks that are currently sorted on the task page, in the order that they are sorted. The number of tasks that are ready to play display on the active task tab (for example, Today, Upcoming, or Overdue).
The bulk selection counter next to each tab displays the number of tasks to play if you're manually selecting them. However, you can also bulk select tasks to play.
If your task is related to a lead, contact, or deal, you are redirected to that object. If your task is a floating task (isn't related to any object), you are redirected to the Tasks page. For more information about floating tasks, see Creating and managing tasks for leads, contacts, and deals.
Performing tasks with the task player
When the task player is active you'll see a progress bar, task information, and the options to skip, reschedule, or mark the task as complete. The progress bar fills with each completed or rescheduled task, but the tasks that you skip are not counted towards your progress.
To skip a task
-
Click Skip to move the task you have skipped to the end of your task queue.
The task player plays the skipped task again only after the last task on the list has been managed.
If you have skipped multiple tasks, then you can continue to skip them indefinitely, but if only one skipped task remains, then skipping it will close the task player.
To reschedule a task
- Click Reschedule.
- In the Due date dialog, enter the date and time that you want the task to be due, then click Reschedule task.
The task player automatically moves you to the next task
To mark a task as complete
- Click Mark as completed to automatically move you to the next task on the list and to update the progress bar.
After you've completed or rescheduled all of your tasks, you can go back to your task page or close the task player.
Closing the task player
You can close the task player at any time. Any tasks that you've completed or rescheduled will remain completed or rescheduled.
To close the task player
- Click the Close task player icon (X) in the top right corner of the page.
- In the Close task player dialog, click Close task player.
