How do I change the email address integrated with Sell? Should I disconnect my email integration in my email settings?

Answer

All Sell users can integrate a work email address in their email settings. Email to and from that account syncs with your Sell account and appears on matching leads, contacts, and deals.

Use these steps to update the integrated email address or after a change to your email integration settings. Disconnect the integration, then connect the new account.

Note: If you changed only your email account password, click Update your password instead. Do not disconnect your entire email integration.

To preserve historical email when you change users, consider deactivating the user instead of disconnecting the email account. For more details, see Deactivating a user in Sell.

To update your email integration:

  1. Go to Settings > Communication Channels > Email
  2. On the Connection tab, you see your integrated email address.

    The Status shows Connected.
  3. Click Disconnect Email Account
  4. In the warning dialog, click Disconnect
Warning: When you disconnect your email integration, Sell removes all synced email conversations such as blind carbon copy (BCC) email from your account. These emails remain in your connected email provider’s inbox, but they no longer appear in Sell. To keep historical email visible, consider deactivating the user instead of disconnecting the integration.
