The two Stage Duration reports provide you with greater insight into how quickly and efficiently your deals are being managed. These are the Stage Duration Analysis and Stage Duration by Owner reports.
To view the stage duration reports
- From the Reports page, select Success Insights > Stage Duration Analysis or Stage Duration by Owner.
The stage duration reports help you analyze how long each deal spends in each stage of your sales pipeline.

Stage Duration by Analysis report
This report is a graph analysis of how long each of your Won, Lost, and Unqualified deals spent, on average, in each stage of the sales pipeline. The duration is expressed in days. The amount of time spent in the different stages of the sales pipeline may provide you with insight into why a deal was either won or lost.
Stage Duration by Owner report
This report provides you with insight into stage duration by each deal owner. Average stage duration for each deal owner is compared to the team’s average.
In the table view of this report you can drill into more details for each owner (the list of deals they own and how long each deal spent in each stage of the sales pipeline).

The Stage Duration Analysis report specifically, it appears to take into account the last active stage only and the duration in that prior to that deal being moved to a closed stage. Is this correct?

The stage duration reports help you analyze how long each deal spends in each stage of your sales pipeline, not just the last stage. Here is an article for more information: Stage Duration reports

You won't be billed extra monthly, however, only the highest Sell subscription has access to this feature which is the Sell Enterprise plan. Hope this helps!
