Question
Can I subtract from the overall time spent on a ticket, via the Time Tracking app?
Answer
Yes, this can be done by submitting negative time updates to a ticket via the Time Tracking app. In order to be able to perform this action, the app needs to be configured to allow for both Edit Time Submission and Simplified Time Submission.
In Admin Center, click the Apps and integrations icon () in the sidebar. Select Zendesk Support apps and open the Time Tracking app. Check the box to enable both the Edit Time Submission and Simplified Time Submission setting and click Update.
Once these two settings are enabled, agents will be able to submit negative time in one minute intervals. The negative time submissions will be visible in the event log of the ticket.
For more information on the Time Tracking app, see the article: Using the Time Tracking app.

Hi Don,
Is there any plans to add this functionality to the non-simplified time submission? It's quite cumbersome to log in, change the submission to simplified, remove the time from the ticket, then revert all of the changes when an agent accidentally adds extra time to a ticket.
Cheers.

Also, follow up question!
If I delete the ticket, what happens to the time? Does it cease to exist in reports?

I agree with Rob, this app works almost perfectly for us. We just need the ability to edit the time while using the non-simplified time submission. There would be no way for us to switch back and forth to correct all of the incorrect time submissions so we just have to deal with it.

We apologize for the inconvenience, we are currently unable to confirm if there are any plans to include this feature in the non-simplified submission process. We suggest that you submit a feature request for this application at this link.
In response to your other query about what happens when a ticket is permanently deleted it cannot be retrieved for reporting via Explore as Deleted tickets are excluded from most Explore reports.
I hope this helps
