Issue symptoms
In Explore, I added a data filter to my custom dashboard in Explore. When I attempt to apply a filter value while editing the dashboard, I encounter either errors:
- An error has occurred. Contact Zendesk customer support (error code 3)
- Network error
Resolution steps
This error appears when the dataset or report associated with the filter has been removed.
To solve the behavior, remove the current filter and add a new filter. This will ensure the new filter is linked to a dataset for the current report on the dashboard.
Note: If you use live data, ensure that you include live data that corresponds with the filter you are trying to use as well. For example, if you are using the Support - Ticket brand live filter, include any of the live data widgets available for Zendesk Support.
