How can I download a custom or default greeting in Talk?

Answer

Follow the steps below to download the mp3 file of a greeting in Talk.

Downloading a greeting

1. In Admin Center, navigate to the Greetings tab in Talk.
2. Inspect the page source code by right-clicking. In this example, we will be using the Firefox browser.
   
3. Under the Elements tab, locate the greeting audio source followed by the URL of the greeting. The URL includes the greeting name.
4. Copy and paste the URL into a separate browser tab.
5. Select the three stacked dots of the audio, and select Download. In Firefox, right-click and select Save Audio As.
   
6. Save the mp3 to your device.

Note: You can use a third-party audio editor, such as Audacity, to customize any default Talk greeting. There is an issue with Chrome and Edge browsers and downloading the audio file will fail. Use an alternative browser to download the recording.
