The automation engine is a behind-the-scenes feature that allows an AI agent to conduct a conversation with a visitor.
For Zendesk messaging, the automation engine is automatically turned on when you connect your AI agent and off when you disconnect your AI agent. This helps prevent disconnects between Zendesk messaging and AI agents - Advanced.
For Sunshine Conversations, you must still manually turn the automation engine on or off by connecting or disconnecting your AI agent.
To turn the automation engine off
- In Admin Center, go to AI > AI agents > AI agents.
- Next to your Sunshine Conversations AI agent, click Disconnect.
This will only disconnect the AI agent, not delete it, and will also turn the automation engine off. You can reconnect the AI agent at any time of your choosing.
