Note: The feature described in this article is similar to banning visitors by IP address in live chat.

On the Banned IP addresses page you can manage the IP addresses that have been banned from accessing your messaging channels. If given permission, agents can access and use this page as well.

Editing IP addresses banned from messaging channels

From the Banned IP addresses page, you can make changes to banned IP entries.

To update a banned IP address entry

  1. In Admin Center, click People in the sidebar, then select Restrictions > Banned IP addresses.
  2. Click the IP address you want to update.
  3. Update the banned IP information as needed:
    • Enter a new IP address
    • Use the drop-down menu to select a new reason for the ban
    • Enter any comments you want to include
  4. Click Save.

Deleting IP addresses from the banned list

From the Banned IP addresses page, you can delete (unban) IP addresses from the list.

To delete a banned IP address from the list

  1. In Admin Center, click People in the sidebar, then select Restrictions > Banned IP addresses.
  2. Locate the IP address you want to update.
  3. Click the Options icon () and select Delete.
  4. Click Delete to confirm the action.
