Need help updating chatbot text (classic widget)

Hello,

We are using the classic web widget and need to update the copy for the chatbot when it first replies to a user. I've been told this can't happen unless we move to the new messaging flow bot system but that caused issues on our website. Does anyone have any workarounds?

Can i clarify if you are using a custom bot on the classic widget?
